Mt. Airy Commons Ribbon Cutting

The Mt. Airy Community Urban Redevelopment Enterprise (CURE) is extremely excited to hold a ribbon cutting on the first neighborhood development in over a decade. Mt. Airy CURE has worked with the City of Cincinnati and the Port Authority to build Mt. Airy Commons, a community parking lot and gathering space in the heart of the Mt. Airy Business District. The ribbon cutting will take place on Wednesday, March 29th at 4:00pm. The lot is located at 5536 Colerain Avenue, next to Little Brothers Friends of the Elderly.

“No neighborhood will change overnight” said Mt. Airy CURE President Bonnie Berding. “Completing Mt. Airy Commons gives customers a place to park their cars and walk our business district. Additionally, with the community gathering space we can hold events for the Mt. Airy Community.”

Mt. Airy Commons is the first phase in the strategic plan to improve the Mt. Airy Business District. The parking lot consists of 23 free public parking spaces. There is additional room in the back to hold community events and expand future parking. More information on the Mt. Airy Business District Plan can be found on www.MtAiryCURE.com.

Mt. Airy CURE is a 501-c-3 non-profit dedicated to improving the Mt. Airy Business District. Founded in 2012, the group is the officially recognized Community Development Corporation in Mt. Airy. Mt. Airy CURE works closely with the City of Cincinnati and College Hill Community Urban Redevelopment Corporation (CHCURC) to develop the Mt. Airy neighborhood.
